Sensational Sunday Shots!!

Sunday meals are big, full of noise & usually involve kids doing silly things.  Today was no exception!!!  After a delicious roast, mashed potatoes & gravy, carrots & corn on the cob, we enjoyed some banana splits for dessert.  Grandpa even made a special trip last night to the grocery store to buy some bananas for our dessert!! :)  We all had our plates piled sky high and we enjoyed every last bite of our tasty treat!
-----------------------------------
Just had to take this picture of my FIL with his plate piled with goodies!  I was teasing him about the fact that he had more dessert on his plate than the food he ate earlier! :)  Actually, ALL of our plates were filled to the brim with ice cream, fruit, whipped cream, nuts & choc. sauce!!!
Samuel show off just how big his mouth is!!
Callie shows off for ANYONE!!!
Check out my gorgeous sewing machine in the background along with the PILES of fabric that are waiting to be sewn up!!
Did I mention that she JUST had a shower right before dinner!!!
Her brothers get to laughing at her antics, which just makes her sillier!!! :)
Now....off to take an afternoon nap....

Water, Kids & a COMBINE!!!!! Not to mention some crazy pictures of ME!!

A couple of Fridays ago, we spent our 'Fun Day' at Daniel & Tina's house. They gave us the use of their pool & backyard. Someone elses backyard is always more fun than your own, right?
I found a link for some cute modest bathing suits online. The patterns are 20.00 each, so I decided to come up with my own pattern for Callie with some fabric I had at home. I sewed it up in the morning before we left. I was really happy with the way it turned out. Now I want to make one for me!!
Callie & Samuel found a wagon. The boys rather reluctantly gave them a ride around the yard.
Samuel is trying to tell Callie something....she's not listening!
Daniel & Tina's new pool. It was a blast! Thanks for sharing guys!!

Simon can sure come up with some faces.
Seth doesn't like to swim without goggles!
Callie found another toy to ride around on.
This loud machine caught the attention of all of us!
Alright, it's back to swimming.
Posing for mommy....
"Will somebody give me a ride?"
An shot of water in action!
Seth shivers....the water was COLD at first! It took me FOREVER to get my whole body in. Of course, there's quite a lot of me......
Seth hides from mommy's camera!
Callie found a baby doll & Samuel found some vehicles. They fought over who got the most space to play on the picnic table!
The story of the doll.....
Once upon a time a little girl found a baby doll wrapped up in a towel. It was sitting in a bath tub on her Aunt Tina's back porch. She brought it to her mommy and asked if she could play with it. I didn't think her Aunt would mind, so I said 'yes'. She proceeds to unwrap the baby doll. It's naked!!! Callie found a sleeper for it and wanted me to help put it on. I was glad to help get that naked baby dressed! She played with it for awhile and then started crying, "Mommy, the baby has 'dirties' on its bottom!" I looked over and sure enough it was soaked. Great, now we've got the doll all wet. I figured the kids had splashed water on it from the pool. I decided to take off the sleeper and dry it in the sun. Aunt Tina would never know we got the sleeper all wet! :) Imagine my surprise when I took off the sleeper and water started dripping out of the doll. Apparently, this particular doll is supposed to be like a real one and pee-pee! Horrors!!! The boys happened to glance over as I was trying to shake all the 'water' out. I won't even go into all that they said, just that they were hysterically amused at the peeing doll! I do know one thing....we will NEVER have one of those dolls in our house!
Fast forward to the next day.....we went shopping for a doll for Callie at TJ Maxx. I was showing her all the baby dolls and asking if she liked it or not. Whenever I would come to the 'Drink & Wet' dolls, she would proclaim in a VERY LOUD VOICE, "No, I don't want that doll mommy, It goes pee-pee!" I could feel the looks of the other parents around me!
Putting the doll away!
Samuel all geared up for the pool!
Callie pretty much sat on the ladder while I was in the pool. She would let me take her around, but I couldn't let go of her. I think she might have inherited my great fear of water!
There's the noisy combine again. This time dumping his load.
Samuel ran over to check it out.
Words cannot express these next 3 pictures that my boys took of me!

The End of a VERY LONG blog post!

If you were curious enough to look at all the pictures now here's a couple of funny videos of my kids. Simon & Seth both asked me to record them......Enjoy!

I was caught.....

Alright folks! They say confession is good for the soul. I was caught dancing tonight! I just finished watching Beethoven's Big Break with the kids. We had homemade pizza a movie tonight. Yeah, I know, it's a school night. But, when the Netflix movie finally arrives in the mail box.....and you've been anxiously awaiting its arrival for a couple a months....you certainly don't want to wait until Friday! Okay.....moving along. How many of you love the movie credits? I don't, but I love the movie music that goes along with the movie credits!!!!! Oh, yeah! Can you tell I'm in quite the hyper mood tonight?.....maybe it's because I have been sewing, cooking, cleaning (half-heartedly) & teaching music lessons for the past 2 days, or it simply could be because I really need to get out of the house!!!!! I jumped up from my cozy spot on the loveseat and started dancing along with the music! All 4 of the kids jumped up and danced along me with. We were having a great time jumping, bouncing, shaking it all over the living room floor. I glanced over and noticed that the living room drapes were open. Now, we have a VERY large window in our living. In fact, one entire wall of our living room is windows. I have been told by my husband that he can see into our house from the parking lot of a little strip mall 2 blocks away! I moved to the windows to close the drapes and what do I see? The neighbors at their back window looking toward our home! Oh dear!!!!! I'm sure watching a 30 year old woman dance around the living room with her 4 kids provided them with lots of laughs tonight!!!!!!!!!!! Who knows...maybe they video taped us and we'll end up as one of the next America's Funniest Home Videos! At any rate....we got our blood pumpin', heartbeat racin', & maybe even burned off a few of those calories from the pizza! Now....let me at that Cherry Cheesecake.................

I survived.....

A TRIP TO CHUCK E. CHEESE!!!!!!!!
A picture of all the adults crazy enough to join us! I should've had someone snap a picture of all 6 of us trying to fit in a spot designed for just 1-2 people!
Simon's total ticket count was 146!
Callie had fun riding all the different kids rids they had. That and climbing up into the sky tubes and 'swinging' down the slide. (That's what she called it)
Samuel absolutely REFUSED to let me help him catch any bumblebees!
Duane & Mike racing! My hubby was the winner!!! He does know how to drive a car FAST while maneuvering through impossible traffic! I know that from personal experience! (I blame that for my white hairs! :>)
Seth hits the jackpot and gets 60 tickets! I tried this game and got 2 tickets!!!
Samuel loved the air hockey game. He would play BOTH sides of the game. He would hit it one way and then run to the other side to hit it back! It was fun watching him!
Callie insisted on riding this almost life-sized horse. Mommy tried to help her steer around the track with very little success. We crashed into walls, trees, etc... She had fun!
All the kids show off their prizes. We only spent $10.00 buying 130 tokens. I fed everyone BEFORE we went so we didn't need to buy food! (I think that's where they make the money.) Seth got cotton candy, air head, 3 tootsie pops, Simon got a giant lollipop & lizard, Samuel got a Spiderman nerf gun & Callie got a giant lollipop & 1 tootsie pop.
2 girls show off their prizes----straws that were glasses. Pretty neat!!

Snow Day=Fun Day

Samuel carries a pile of snow.
I love this shot. Simon threw a handful of snow at his brother at the exact moment I snapped a picture of Callie.
Callie was not happy with the 'nasties' that kept blowing in her mouth. (snow-covered pieces of hair) :-)
Samuel & Callie had fun sliding in the snow-filled swimming pool.
Simon was not happy about being outside. He kept running away from the camera every time I tried to take a picture of him.
This is a wonderful shot of Callie that I'm sure one day she'll not be happy about! It's too cute. This was her first experience with wearing snow pants and boots while walking in piles of snow. When she fell down, she could hardly get up! :)
Samuel had fun making snow angels.
We took a walk to the store. Seth shoveled a path for us.
Simon takes over shoveling the path through our yard.
Finally arriving at the Dollar General Store. The clerk kinda looked at us funny when we all walked in with our snow stuff on. She probably thought we were crazy for walking through all that snow!
On the way home. We bought some animal crackers, a funfetti cake mix (to make cupcakes later), and a new game.
Now, just after I took this picture, something happened that made me very upset. An older man in a pick-up truck is going through the parking lot. I told the kids that a truck was coming and they needed to get out of the way. Usually vehicles stop for people walking in a parking lot. Did this man stop. NO HE DID NOT. He just beeps and beeps the horn, gesturing wildly for my children to get out of the way. He had his window open, so I yelled at him that he had no right beeping at my kids, they were moving as fast as they could to get out of the way. Now here is what REALLY TICKED ME OFF!!!! The man pulls out of the exit to the parking lot turns goes down the road 10 feet and pulls right back into the next entrance to the parking lot. NOW WHY ON EARTH COULDN'T HE GO AROUND US AND THE KIDS INSTEAD OF PLOWING RIGHT THROUGH US. Can you tell I'm a little worked up about it! :)
We are almost home!

Samuel has to try his hand at shoveling the yard!
Callie kept telling me, "I can make it, mom!"
